CAOS orchestra is a non-auditioned and open to all players (not just students). We recommend an approximate Grade 5 standard of playing but this is not a necessity. The orchestra rehearses weekly during university term time at St. Chrysostom's Church, Anson Road. Directions can be found on our Rehearsals page.

 

Our orchestra rehearsals are held on Tuesdays, 8pm until 10.15pm, led by our conductors, Francesca Peilober-Richardson & Peter Bloxidge. Find out more them on our Conductors page.

If you don’t have your instrument in Manchester with you then don’t fear, we recommend trying Dawson’s, Alan Gregory’s or Forsyth’s for instrument hire. So come along and give it a go, even if it’s been a while since you last played!

We also ask all our orchestra members to bring a music stand along with their instrument if you are able to.
